Citi Prepaid Wins 2009 Paybefore Top Honor for Best B2C Corporate-Funded Prepaid Card
CONSHOHOCKEN, PA (March 10, 2009) – Citi Prepaid received Paybefore's top honor, "Best-in-Category", for its B2C Corporate-Funded Prepaid Card solution. One winner in each category is deemed the coveted Best-in-Category based on outstanding program achievements and metrics. Citi Prepaid was recognized for the strong results from its consumer incentive prepaid card program within the telecom industry.
This award represents one of two awards achieved by Citi Prepaid this year, having also received Industry Achievement for Matt Gillin's innovative and meaningful contributions to the prepaid card industry.
Winners were determined by a judiciary panel of five industry experts panel including: Marilyn Bochicchio, Paybefore CEO; Gary Palmer, executive vice president of Fidelity National Information Services and the NBPCA's chairperson-elect; Dan Horne, gift card researcher and associate professor of marketing at Providence College; Ken Howes, a director of Edgar, Dunn and Company and co-founder and director of the Prepaid International Forum; and John MacAllister, principal of Dorado Industries and a consultant in electronic payments for more than 25 years. Winners were announced at the 2009 Prepaid Card Expo in Orlando, FL.
